Question Shooting Concert, stage Questions - 11-25-2005, 11:40 AM

Aerosmith and Coldplay are coming into Town and i am interested in attenting the show and would like to take more than just a few shots.

I have the equipments but need some infor on who to get to the stage question for the pro here...

1) I'll be at American Air Lines Center, Dallas texas. Have you been there shooting the concert? what's ya advice? Anyone know Their rules and regulation for Camera?
2) Do you need press pass or connection to get to floor stage? or just buy the first front row avalibale and start shooting? $$...

Thanksz

ha! who says!??!

shooting big names at large venues pretty much always means you will need legit issued media credentials... which will prolly be pretty tough.

some venues will allow small point and shoot cameras but will not allow SLRs of any sorts...

I would say that without some strong credentials you can toss out hopes of taking your camera in since these are very well established bands and shooting them on stage would be highly restricted.

I bet if you look around the net and check you will probably run across a no photo clause tied into this show.

Good luck.

Shows some shots from earlier tours, note most are AP or livewire staffers or local papers.

Last I heard, PR for Aerosmith was handled by Paul Freundlich of PFA, 212-334-6116 or paulf@pfamedia.com

and Coldplay was handled by either Ambrosia Healy at Little Big Man, 323-871-5373, ambrosia.healy@capitalrecords.com or Erin Lazarus, 323-462-6252, erin.lazarus@capitolrecords.com

Good luck.
