I shoot in manual, and will be using a Nikon D300s with an SB600 flash.

I have the same situation with my son's prom. My plan is to use my Canon 1DM3, a 580 EX (naked - no difuser) mounted on a camera flash bracket and use a reflector to assist with fill light. This group wants their pictures taken outdoors in a park and I am planning on a harsh light situation. I planned on shooting at F/11 to get all of the couples in focus on the group shots.
Am I missing anything (besides additional equipment that I don't own)??
