Need 3 person posing help - 11-30-2005, 11:21 AM

I have been asked to take some pictures of 3 sisters as a Christmas present to their mother. Each wants a few individual shots, which I'm okay with, but I need some ideas for some group shot poses. I believe that the age range is 14-22 yrs old. The other catch is they want to do this in a studio setting. The studio I have access to is kinda small, maybe 15 x 18'...maybe slightly larger, but not much. I guess they're all pretty close, so they don't mind touching eachother (you know how kids can be ).

Any help/ideas would be great.

Use the "triangle" or "pyramid" rule. One sitting, two standing type thing. One in the middle, other two leaning their heads into one in the middle.

I've done some of those for my kids - much younger and less cooperative!

Yeah, I figured I'd use some of the old reliables. These girls are the daughters of one of my coworkers, so I have to be careful not to do anything deemed offensive (The parents are kinda religious as well).

The oldest daughter already said she'd like to do less "cheesy" poses, and the youngest wants to take some "silly" pictures. This should be interesting. I have the studio for 4 hours, so I won't feel rushed and can setup as many light configurations I want.

On the triangle be sure to have the youngest setting, the middle aged one setting and the oldest setting.

What about a reverse triangle with 2 setting and one standing behind and between them? Maybe the setting ones on some sort of bench?
No 3 in their birthday suits laying on heir stomachs on a bear skin rug though!!!
