So this is taking a shot and batch processing the images using the gray point.

I may try this with my WhiBal. It is troublesome as out games start at 7:30 and shooting the warm up and pregame then the game is sun, to shade, to twilight to stadium lighting in a short time.

I shoot a lot of indoor and outdoor sports. Always shoot RAW. I never set the white balance, always have it set to auto. One of the main reasons is auto does a good job. The other reason is if you need to set a white balance usually you have lights that are cycling nightmares, different temps on various bulbs, as bulbs get older they generally burn at different temps, etc.

Keep it simple. Use auto and clean it up in Adobe Bridge.

One other thing I like to do is shoot difficult white balance stuff not over-exposed but closer to over than under. That seems to do away with tints and gives the best image to work with in Bridge.

I personally use a WhiBal card.
