Watch the shadows. Pull subject away from the wall, and pay attention to your color balance.

You've got a good start but some of the closeups don't have any catch lights in their eyes, like they're in shadow and the light is behind them. Also, don't cut off body parts as in the teenage boy with his hands missing and the one with his back against the wall looks a bit strange to me like he's distorted somehow. If I were you, I would study fashion magazines for more ideas of poses. Just my two cents.

From what I see, the images are great and a good start. Keep in mind your shooting fashion so not having catch lights in the eye, having too much light or having deep shadows in the images is fine. After all, your not taking portraits.

why are you asking us for CC if you are not willing to take it. You seem to have everything figured out and reasons/excuses for why your images look like they do. I would offer some advice, but since you aren't going to take it, why should I bother??

my photos are on my website: C E L E S T E C H E S S E R | I like your stuff. Nice to see something different and nonconforming. Model's faces and emotions are spot on, assuming they're taking directions from you.
I do like the art direction and postwork you do on your photos. It's breathable and not bogged down by cliche portrait lighting.
Keep doing what you're doing, I'm afraid not many will be on the same page as you but your style will get the attention of certain agencies and publications.
My only negative is I didn't like some of the photos of the guy, maybe because I'm so used to seeing those exact same poses on a girl and now a guy's doing it.
Keep it up. | | | |

You say you aren't going for portraits but the vast majority of your shots seem more portrait-y than fashion, my personal opinion since you asked for it.
EDIT: Also, hop off the defensive train. You've come to a site that has a great number of pros and semi-pros, don't get snippy when they give you the critique you've requested. Even if you disagree there's no reason to reply and be rude.
Oh, and figure out what look you're actually going for Quote: |
I am not going for something that would be featured in vogue.
| but you say here Quote:
I would love to get a set that I can knock out portraits similar to this: | So do you want vogue or not?
