use this key stroke

ALT + 0169

meaning hold down ALT and press 0, 1,6, and 9

Clint, That's way easier than what I'd been doing. Thanks for the tip! Now, how will I remember it?

One can also cut a paste the symbol from Microsoft Word (if you use Windows, any flavor) by using (C) (just type left parenthesis, lower case 'c', and then a right parenthesis)...the symbol will be created for you, and you can cut and paste it...

Yes, that will work but, way to easy........ Better to remember lots of keystrokes - it is just way cooler and more hardcore!

Actually, I have always used the ALT+0169 -> goes back do the early days of DOS.

Create an image of just the copyright text. Then each time you need to place this on an photo, open the copyright image and drag that layer to your photo and resize as necessary. Enjoy!

For Mac Users,

Just create an action and then Hold down the option Key and hit the G key to get the C in a circle and then type out what ever else you want and then stop your action and every time you need the copyright you can just run the action.

Search google with "circle c copyright", copy the "circle r" text paste on text layer if you're out of option. Just another way to get it....

{edit} Paste "©"

You can create a custom brush for copyright also. How to is in Scott Kelby's CS2 for digital photographers.

If anyone is interested, I'll post the steps in a few days...

Only problem with custom brush is you can't record brush strokes in an Action. If you want to use an action then it's probably better to use a Text Layer.

I've been using this framing script for a while now and it's very nice. Has a lot of configurable option for matting, framing, signature text, resizing, etc and you can save off different profiles and load them. Also has batching support although because of a bug in CS2 you have to use a droplet rather than regular batching (CS2 chokes on a action containing a script call when used in Batching, but it works fine with a droplet).

Actions - 12-19-2005, 01:23 PM

There is a Photoshop action on www.atncentral.com that might do what you want. I'm not sure since I have not tried it out.

The action is found on the Download page, about 2/3 of the way down and is titled, "Bud's Signature's and Other Stuff".

I've seen another action out there somewhere that you can modify (text size, blending options, etc) that will add copyright info onto your photo. I just can't remember where.
