very nice, thanks for sharing this... really goes to show that you can make killer images with low budget equipment and some creativity

I agree. This photo was part of my 365 Project. It's not great but you'll see I used common items for my lighting setup.






Setup:
  • On the right is an Inova flashlight diffused by a "to-go" plastic container from Gringos restaurant.
  • To the left is a cutting board bouncing light.
  • I placed my iPhone on the tape acting like a "tripod".
  • Not shown in the picture is another flashlight directly behind the train but placed up high on the sofa (headrest) acting as back light.
