sizing a print

I have a photo I want to print to fit in a very specific frame size.

original image size is

2544 x 1696, its a tight portriat of my granddaughter and the viewable area in the frame is about 1 1/4 inch.

I know if I print it at 4x6 it will be to big for the frame.

should I crop it and make a canvas size of a 4x6 print to get the image the size I want

James, you can resize the image so it fits properly in the viewable space then change the canvas size to 4 x 6 or whatever the frame size is.

Qimage would be perfect for this.

You don't set any image size in your editor.

In Qimage you can set any custom size you like up to the size your printer can handle. Then you just drag your full size picture file to the print area, and Qimage takes care of the final output on paper.

highly recommended from me for all your picture printing.

hope this helps.
