Digital Asset Management - 12-29-2005, 10:40 PM

My hard drive has filled up with digital image files. I want to move some of them off of the hard drive to another storage medium. I am looking for software that will do this and save a thumbnail and maybe the location the files were moved to. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

It's been a while since I used it, but I thought Adobe's Photoshop Album (now part of Photoshop Elements) did this.

I have just installed CS2 with Adobe Bridge. My full blown Photoshop program. I have not found anything there that would do that. Maybe I have not looked deep enough. There are a lot of bells and whistles in the software. Thanks.

Unfortunately, it's part of Photoshop Elements - not Photoshop CS2. Download the trial (starter) version and see if it's there.

Sadly, this is only offered on the PC and I have moved to the mac now. However, iMatch is the best (hands down) DAM package I have used. ( http://www.photools.com )

On the mac, I use iView but I still yearn for Mario to put out iMatch on the mac.

Hey Kevin,

I use Extensis Portfolio for all my DAM. It RULES!

I have to agree...It was intuitive for me to use, and it's reasonably fast...
