I use a couple depending on the subject I am trying to soften up, one is Noiseware Community Edition http://www.imagenomic.com/download.asp, the other is Paint Shop Pro Edge Preserving Smooth. But I'm looking to try others.

I use Noise Ninja. When I was looking it was between it and Neat Image; at the time more reviewers were giving good marks to NN. I tried it, liked it, and have never gotten around to trying anything else.

I use NoiseWare. It's available as both a plug-in or stand-alone.

I used NeatImage for a while. Just recently switched to Noise Ninja and like the interface and results a whole lot more.

I use Neat Image, and also have the 'Helicon Filter' http://helicon.com.ua/pages/ which will do raw conversions and many other editing adjustments.

Noise Ninja. Never tried anything else, but had no reason to after getting this - decision made based on personal recommendations and research done on various forums. Plus, it's a local Austin, TX company.

I recently went through this same decision process... I went with Noise Ninja!

I had problems getting away from the "plastic" look with noiseware, and NN seemed to do a better job than Neat Image.

Noise Ninja has a really simple to use interface, and the masking functions are really nice to have.

Noise Ninja. Tried a couple of others but preferred the results and interface of NN better. Also like the profiles that lend it to batch processing if so desired.

Another Noise Ninja user here. I like the results and its really easy to use. Noiseware is also good but I only used the stand alone version so it was time consuming using two programs.
