alternative process for film - 12-18-2007, 10:07 AM

Guys, I remember there was some ways to play with film to make the emulsion crack during proccessing. It required to use different temperatures of developer during devoloping. Does anybody have more info on that? I am looking for an really aged film look. I am going to be using Ilford FP4 and Super 76 developer. :w00t:

I vaguely remember watching some one do it in school.
Ice in the prewash...warmer than usual developer, Cold stop bath, regular fix...
My best suggestion is to to to the alternative board here....

Someone over there should know the details. I also remember the instructor saying that it was a crap shoot...some times it works and some times it doesn't.

You could also try doing albumen prints and putting on 3 layers of albumen...if you have a year to prep the albumen before you want to print.
