Blown Highlights (Nikon Capture 4.4)

Good article. Just remember that there are "blown highlights" and blown highlights. If a single, or even two, color channels are blown it is still possible to recover information but when all 3 are blown you can't get back that info. Also, blown in 8 bit occurs much earlier than blown in 12 bit RAW so that is where a lot of the recovery can come from too.
