Monkey Portraits

Ok, not sure if this is where this goes.... tried my best.



My boyfriend works with a super nice lady who happens to own a monkey. She asked me to do some portraits of her monkey. Has anyone ever photographed or worked with monkeys? Does anyone have any ideas for this?

I need to talk with her more about the capabilities of the monkey, but she is pretty open to any ideas (doesn't really have any herself, at the moment.) It is a small monkey, I forget the type. He is tame and is a member of the family-- wears sweaters, has a bedroom, the whole nine yards.

I see the monkey in a Tarzan-inspired loin cloth, swinging from a vine. Then I thought... maybe smoking a pipe and reading Wordsworth..

Ok, but seriously. Any monkey tips/ideas?

Just go hang out with the monkey, you will soon know exactly how to photograph him. His personality and how he interacts with you will dictate how to do the shoot.
