Actions for Copyright - 01-16-2006, 05:09 PM

OK all you PS gurus. I have been blessed? to get PSCS2 and I need some help. Does anyone have an action they would like to share on how I can place either copyright or Proof on both landscape and portrait oriented images so that it is centered on both? Doing them one at a time is crazy!

Thanks,
Harry

Not sure about with an action, but it is pretty easy to do with a script, if you know any programming.

You could also probably do it in an action, by putting the copyright on a layer, then selecting the layer and using the align bottom, align center type commands to line it up.

Certainly you could align bottom edges and align right edges or left edges, to put it in a corner, consistantly for landscape/portrait.

I use an action but it's also part of my border. The way I have it set up is to create a PSD file with transparent background and your logo where you want it. Create the action to import that psd file into your working file as a layer. I have on PSD file for vertical, horizontal and square.

You can always check out PictureShark. It's a freeware I believe, and works quite well.

There is a 'movie' on a similar topic at the website below.

Haven't tried it myself, but all of Mr. Brown's tutorials are informative.

Once there scroll down a few pages to find 'Digital Watermark Branding'.

I just wanted to add that you probably want to make your logo a "smart object" in the PSD file. That way you can resize it up and down (up to its original size) without loosing quiality because it embeds a copy of the original full size image in the layer with the smart object.
