Talking isolating a channel - 01-31-2006, 11:39 PM

how can i isolate a channel in photoshop? like, for example, i only want to have the red channel, and that's my image? when i try to do that, i can only save the image as RAW or PSD... but i'd like to isolate the red channel as a jpeg. is this possible?

muchas gracias, y'all!

After you have made a duplicate copy of the red channel, and then deleted all the other remaining channels... you need to go up to Image - Mode. You'll notice that multichannel is selected. From here just select "Grayscale" to convert the image. You can then save it as a jpg.

Maybe a new Canon 1D series in the future?

Hey, I saw that picture too on AltPhoto. Thanks for the little tip on how it was done, I'm going to try it now!

I think you'll be OK, they have a thin candy shell. I'm surprised you didn't know that.
