I did my sisters wedding back in september and her and her husband loved the photos. They referred me to my cousin who wants me to do her wedding on march 11. Here's my dilemma. I wanted to rent some L glass this time around. Preferrably like a 70-200 f2.8. Rentglass.com doesn't have any of the lenses I would like to use in stock at the moment. Everywhere else requires a deposit for the replacement cost of the Lens. Well, If I had that kind of money laying around I would already own the lens. Here's my question: Does anybody know of anywhere else i can rent the lens w/o having to put down replacement collateral? If not, would anybody be willing to let me rent their f2.8L lens or maybe a sigma very similar from Friday March 10 to Sunday March 12? Please let me know something guys.

You're better off renting a 24-70 f/2.8L. Don't get me wrong, the 70-200 will come in handy, but the 24-70 will give you 90% of the coverage you need (in photos, not range!)

Locally (Houston) you can rent from photorent.com or from lighttec.com. With Photorent, a credit card on file is sufficient for you to rent. As with anything you rent in life, you take your chances - or get insurance!

yea, I'm sure the 24-70 will be sufficient, but that still doesn't solve the deposit dilemma for me. I only have a debit card (that can be used as a credit card). I won't have enough in the account to cover replacement cost.
