The point is to look at you work after you have done it and by doing an active deconstruction you focus on why what is says. By doing that you will get where you see more of that in the environment. It's why classical art students analyses great works of art to learn what makes them get and to incorporate the same meta-concepts into their work.
This will translate into upping the "it's there" ratio.
