Questions on Photoshop Elements 4 - 04-04-2006, 09:09 PM

I have a few questions on Photoshop Elements 4.
Most of photos on this forum, you put your name on the bottom of the photos. I have tried a couple ways and there seems there should be an easier way.
The first way that I tried is just typing my name on the bottom. The issue was also the size of the font changed, not good.
Second was to make a new layer with my name on it, copy and past it, but when I did this my name went to the center of the photo. That might work as a watermark, but not as a name.
So my question is – what is the easiest way of doing this?

I had my first gig that came from a call that saw my photos in the mall this weekend. The weather Gods did a great job in keeping the rain away. So I did this gig as exchange, so I can us her son (two years old) photos also.
So the second question, if it is exchange, should you add you name to the photos?

I will post the a few photos later, also I did a model shoot on Saturday. It was indoors, I think I draw a stick in the sand and still see the Grand Canyon in front of me. There is so much more to learn.

Thanks for any information that you can give me.

Select the Text Tool. Type your name or anything else you want. With your mouse, select the text (drag cursor over, it will turn inverse). You can now select the text Font, Size, Bold, Italic, Color, etc. all the stuff on the text tool bar. You can also drag the text object and place it anywhere on the canvas that you want.

A couple of hints.

© symbol is hold down the alt key and type 0169

If you will be resizing the image, say to post it on the web, don't add the text until after you resize. That way you can get a font size set that looks good for the final size of the image.

Hope this helps.
