In P/S C/S, go to Window, select the actions pallet. It opens on your screen. At the bottom of the actions pallett are a row of buttons. Slide your cursor over them to tell you what to do. The second button from the left tells P/S to start recording the action. Make the changes you wish on an image. When you are done, click the left most button to stop recording. A new action will appear in the list above the actions. You can rename it by clicking on the arrow at the top right of the pallett and selecting the rename option. From then on when you wish to run the same operations as you did on the 1st image, Photoshop will make the same adjustments on following images. There are also refinements and ways to put stops in the actions to allow you to see what is going on in the current image.
Good Luck. It's really not hard.
