There's been a bit of discussion here about correct exposures under different condition.

I'm going to rehabilate my old Gossen Luna Pro with the variable acceptance head and see just how close a digital sensor can get to doing a zone exposure for a black and white print.

For those who have not been exposed (bad pun) to the zone system.

I'm slowly transitioning away from the zone system. It took me a little time to master the zone, but I've come to realize that my camera's matrix metering is correct ~80% of the time and is reliable enough that I can hit my exposure 90-95% of the time. I do still use the zone in really though lighting and I find myself sneaking a peak at my spot meter every once in a while.
