the boys looks like cut outs or like one photo was glued over the other. Is this a normal result of using this software.
Really good picture of the kids and great set up, I just do not care for that cut out look. my opinion for what ever it is worth.

that's what I thought too... I know one mistake that I made was just grabing the photo from her email instead of her sending it to me as an attachment. So that made the quality bad. So I was wondering if I was better at the outlining on the program would that make it better or should I get another program that is better. I know nothing about the programs! LOL.. Thanks everyone!

I have the MS Digital Imaging 2006 program and it's probably similar to the one you have... It really isn't a "bad" program and is fairly simple to learn although it usually doesn't come close to Photoshop's offerings in the market. It's also dirt cheap in most cases...
My suggestion is to start over with your picture(s) and just try again before you decide to go out and buy another photo program. Not saying you can't or maybe shouldn't upgrade to Photoshop eventually but what you're trying to achieve can be done in almost any photo program with good results (except by possibly me who seems to be electronically challanged when it comes to computer stuff ).
Just try again or even several times again before you give up on the project. You'll get it...
