Places for band photos? - 05-24-2006, 09:47 PM

My friends in their band Seraphim ( website: www.myspace.com/therealseraphim ) need promo pictures taken of them. Some for their album and some for flyers and what-not.

As you can see in their picture profile, I've taken all of those pictures except this one: which is something I want to model on, but be alot more creative.

Before the criticism begins, the photos that you see in their profile were before I learned how to touch them up in photoshop

So my question is, what is a good place in the NW side of Houston to take pictures of these guys (listen to their music, maybe a setting would match their genre). I dont have a studio so my photo skills are limited there.

Any help is appreciated and you guys will be the 1st to see them (besides the band). Thanks!

How about on stage at one of their shows? You could do some organized shooting before or after the show. Also, photos in front of one the establishment they are playing could add a cool touch.

Maybe Glenwood Cemetary?

There are alot of angel statues/monuments there (angels aka Seraphim).

I've taken quite a few photos at their shows. They might use some of them as part of their CD. As far as I know, it's still up in the air, but I know they'll need a promo-shot outside of a dark lit room for some real color.

Thanks for the input :D I'll run that by them, but I was hoping to stay more on the NW side of Houston (where I live). We might stick to the field they walk through to keep it real, but I'll figure something out overnight.

That would be fitting since it's their name and all. Thanks for the suggestion.
