What paper do you print on? I have tried the Epson, Canon, and now the Moab. I like the Moab Entrada 190gsm, and the Kayenta 205gsm papers very well. In fact on my 2400 printer, the Kayenta gives great color with the ICC profile from Moab. The Entrada is just stunning. What do you have in your printer? |
I have been using Ilford primarily...also Epson... Been meaning to try Moab...I like the firmness of the Ilford a lot. I am using a R2400 as well.. |
I have an Epson printer, so I use Epson paper. I've tried others, and they print just as well, but cost is a factor. I can buy Epson Photo Quality Ink Jet paper directly from Epson on the Net for 35 dollars for 100 sheets of 13"x19" single weight. At this price, I can reprint a photo several times until I get what I like. I always take the best shot and spray mount it on a single weight (non-museum quality) photo matte. This results in a mechanically strong print and can be exhibited even without a frame. The smooth matte surface is just a matter of personal preference. |
