I have checked out every book I can find on Digital Photography from our local library.

"Understanding Digital Photography" by Bryan Peterson is by far the best one I have read so far. It explains DP very well to those of us who are transitioning from film to digital. It takes into account that you understand the basics of film photography and translates what you need to know to do DSLR.
