Help Needed on Manual focus!

Thanks for your interest (or least enough interest to click on the thread) ...

When the light is too low and I need to use a flash (flash is on camera), how do I determine the aperture and shutterspeed to take a good photo (good as in having enough light)? Is there a recommended starting point? Do I start thinking aperture then adjust the speed accordingly??

many cameras will fire a short flash just to give some light for af to work if it needs it. it won't fire during the actual shot.

check your manual to see if it is a possibility/feature of your camera. it will be called AF flash, pre-flash or something like that. It may only work in some modes.
