Help with print uploads - 07-17-2006, 05:32 PM

Okay, I am not real bright here. Someone please help me.

I have been doing some work with blank backgrounds in PS CS2. However when I print them out at the Walgreens down the street, they say the resolution is too small and by doing any cropping would make it not printable. Any tips you guys can pass along to me?

I have been trying to print some 4x6s but they come out looking like crap.....

You should have 800x1200 pixels minimum to print 4"x6". That yields an effective resolution of 200 dpi in a print.

I think 72 is the default. You can set this when you create you image with File/New and set size and DPI

i wanted to say THANK YOU to all those that gave me some input. I redid the image sized, rephotshoped the photos and reprinted this morning. They turned out just the way I wanted. Thanks a million TPFers!
