So if I already have PhotoshopCS2, the only way for me to get the full version of Bridge is to purchase Creative Suite2?? Is there an upgrade or anything? I really don't need illustrator or golive - I just want to add the other features of Bridge that aren't included in PS. Is that possible? | | | | | Sponsored Links | Premium Members do not see Google advertisements. SIGN UP today and help support our community.

What other features? As far as I know know the only thing missing would be integration with those other apps. Everything that you would care about should be included in the version you have. Are you having some sort of problem with bridge?

No, there's no upgrade or anything, you have the full version of Bridge. The other features (assuming you're talking about things like RSS feeds, synchronize color settings, etc.) are only available when you have the full Creative Suite installed.

I was thinking about the color sync thing. Is that only for between the apps?
I am basically wanting to try the tip that was posted in another thread about processing multiple RAW files at once using bridge. I'd heard bridge mentioned before, but didn't realize it was part of photoshop until today!

If so you shouldn't be concerned about that if you're only using Photoshop. Quote: |

| Both techniques mentioned in that thread (Copy/Paste ACR settings, and opening multiple images at once in ACR and synchronizing) should work in the "regular" version of Bridge that you have. If you need help/clarification on something specific let me know and I'll help if I can.

thanks guys. I guess I just need to go home and find where this app is in photoshop! LoL. I've been using photoshop for so long, I just upgrade and don't bother to really look at what's being added. Guess I need to start.

The color sync thing is not there.. You have to buy the suite to get that. I think thats the only difference..

The actual executables are each in their own directory, in /Applications for Mac and \Program Files\Adobe for Windows.

Thanks guys! I've found it and Yay for Bridge!
Another question for anyone who reads this - is there an app that will batch convert RAW > JPEG?

Yes, It's in raw file conversion in CS2. If you try to open raw files in PS it will automatically go to raw file conversion to open them. Then you decide if you want to convert them all the same or if you want to convert them in groups or if you want to convert each file individually

More specifically (to Don's response), when you have the RAWs open in ACR, if you click the "save" button you can save them all as JPEG. If you've already made the ACR adjustments you want and you're back in bridge, you can also run tools->photoshop->image processor to convert them.

There are three things you need to worry about
PS-CS2 - you already have it,
Bridge - you found it
Adobe Camera RAW - do you have the version for your camera?
When you installed CS2, it installed "a" versino of ACR (Adobe Camera RAW), but it may not support your camera (in my case it did not support my 30D). I had to down load an update. The update and the instructions ae at Adobe site.
Bridge works with ACR and CS2. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
