Walmart 20 x 30 Poster Photos - 10-10-2006, 05:49 PM

Has anyone bought the 20 x 30 Poster size Photos that walmart sells for 15 bucks? They say it takes 2 weeks, is it worth it? Here is what is on there site. Your poster, up to 24" x 36", will be printed on heavy ImagePro Satin paper, a high-quality, resin-coated, photo-based paper with the latest in microporous coating technology.

Yeah, Mpix rocks for printing big stuff. I used to use Walmart for 4x6 proofs, until they returned a print with a green color cast (that didn't show up anywhere else) and I decided to stick with the professionals.

I have to agree with the other posters. I have used Mpixs for large prints and been very satisfied. I have alos heard good things from other forum members about El-co Labs as mentioned.

I just dont trust my images to the person at Wal-mart with little or no experience in true lab work. Their machines do most of the work so most of the time I am sure it comes out fine but I still prefer Mpixs or other pro labs for a good final copy. The dollar difference is minimal for a better quality image.

I have some of El-co's metallic 30x20's on my wall. Very satisfied.

I used walmart with my 2mpix nikon P&S for 4x6 prints. It was ok, but they always cut the borders wrong. White gaps, or cut into the picture.

Costco's are much better quality for the same money as Walmart.

TRUE. A MUCH better deal, and great quality--especially if you use their ICC profiles to color correct.

Here's the link.

I Like ElcoColor.com but YOU MUST ORDER A MINIMUM OF 2 POSTER SIZE PRINTS and that brings the price to about 50 bucks. It is still a good price but I only need one poster. Has any one used www.perfectposters.com ?
