Anyone have links to sites that can help get my monitor back on track (colorwise)

I redid my computer (Athlon 4800 dual core, gig ram, SATA drives running Raid 0 with 200 gig backup, ATI 1900 all in wonder) and the color is terrible. I shot a wedding in Cabo and the pics are uneditable.

Have you used a hardware device to calibrate your monitor?

---------------------------
1d mkII, 20D, sigma 15mm f2.8, 28 1.8, 50 1.8, 28-70 2.8, 70-200 f2.8, 1.4 mkII extender. Fisheye and 28 1.8 are sigma ex, rest are canon.

Without a Colorimeter, you can use the eyeball method suggested by Norman Koren here:

Good luck!

Although this is not a substitute for proper monitor calibration, this tool will at least get you in the ball park.

If you are shooting weddings you absolutely must have a hardware monitor calibrator. Monitors shift, especially CRTs, and for critical color work (especially weddings with such variety and extremes) you need to recalibrate accurately and often. That said, use the sites above to get in the ballpark quickly.

For that matter, you should calibrate with all external light sources off and leave them off when you are working on your photos. Also, I have finally covered over the windows in my work area completely to eliminate the color shifting that occurs with weather and daylight changing. I miss the light, but the waisted time and frustration just isn't worth it...
