Wow! that was quick! CS2 has only been out a couple of weeks and already an update! There is a DNG converter in there too but no instructions what to do with it. Guess I have to figure out what to do with it myself.

Just replace the one that came with CS2. On the Mac it's located in the same folder as the main Photoshop application.

At least I did what the readme said and saved my original versions. Made my oops easy to recover from...

On my Win machine I just create another folder inside the folder where the raw app lives and put the old file in it...That way I know right where it is in case of the "ooops".

I assumed it would be clear that this update was for CS2. I guess I was wrong.

Acutally 3.1 has been in development for a little while - adds "preliminary" support for the new DRebel and the new D2x. I am surprised though, because they were saying mid-may just a week or so ago.

That is Also what they were saying about CS2. Mid May. But they released it in late April.

The DNG converter is a stand alone program. No installation. It is an update to the earlier DNG Program.

I think I like this new Raw converter. It did a fantastic job with the Tarantula Pix I took Friday. it made very good calculations as to what adjustments the images needed to bring them to their max. I increased the saturation just a bit, to make them brighter for viewing on the computer, but CS2, Adobe Raw 3.1 did the rest of the work...I'm very impressed!!!
