YOu might be lucky and get a dusting of snow /...
Batteries run down faster in the cold. keep a spare and keep it next to your body (warm).
glass will get foggy if you move indoors. have some lens wiping materials on hand.
days are shorter, but the light can be pretty low, making for better shots all day long.

amish communities are good photo ops. ask for permission to shoot the people.

Breezy,

I grew up in far upstate NY, so Pocono's are similar landscape/environment. Although it's been 20+ years since I've actually lived there, I always found and still when I visit try to do, is get away from the touristy stuff ... depending on your driving skills, and conditions, I would recommend finding secondary roads and if you can, try to find some local cross country skiing stores. They have maps of trails that might lead you to an opening someplace where some deer and wildlife are trying to find some food. If you go alone, make sure somebody knows where you went and how long you plan to be there. Sometimes cell phone signals might not be good especially down in some valleys and creeks. I'm hoping to be up that way in December so dress in multiple layers, stay warm, and have fun.
Randy

thank you both very much
I was told that the chace of snow would pretty good that time.
The whole reason in going lol, Dh thinks he is deprived of it. I saw that there are some falls somewhere around there can't remember now, and then I thought the lakes would be pretty if there is snow. I am not driving dh will be cause I read the maps way better than him lol. We are renting an SUV, hoepfully that will help.
Oh and Randy we are staying in Hawley anything that jumps out at you?
Thanks for the suggestions from you both :D they are greatly appreciated
