Printing through Mpix - 10-29-2006, 11:02 PM

Just checked out the site, and wondered if for those that print through there ... do you get your color prints done on "Traditional Color Paper"? It just seemed rather cheap to me when I was looking through the prices per photo there, so I wanted to double check with ya'll before sending off for some prints.

That's what all of mine have been on so far. Their metallic paper is spectacular, but I still like plain color for portfolio shots.

Are they really glossy on the traditional color paper?

It seems more like a matte surface to me.

Yeah, I would say matte. Another thing I like about them is that they put that "DO NOT COPY' message on the back. I don't know what it really says, but it makes the pictures more "professional." They also have free online galleries that are very useful.

Which do I choose for it to be glossy? Is it the traditional color paper they list on there? I'm a bit confused cuz a few people said it's matte finish, then brad says "they will do glossy" ... I'm wanting glossy.

Choose the traditional paper.. and then if you want a glossy finish, you'll be offered a chance to name that later in the ordering process (it defaults to the matte).

Personally, I didn't like the glossy finish.. it was too shiny and showed fingerprints BAD... but to each their own.
