Man, i still can't figure out this software. I just don't think it's set up well now that I've used Lightroom and Aperture. It makes file organization so difficult and image manipulation is rather basic compared to the other two.
I really want to like it though because it seems to do a superb job with it's raw conversions!

And their documentation is horrrrible. Their tutorials show things that aren't there in the latest mac version i downloaded making things even more difficult!

I haven't really looked at Capture One. I have however toyed with the idea of using tethering my camera directly to a Raon Vega running DSLR Remote software... I could shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot and.....you get the idea......

I use Capture One. I've heard it works better with Canon than Nikon, at least from Nikon shooters. I've found that if I shoot a Macbeth card, the color is spot on. As of now, I only use it for Raw conversion. Well I've used it to tether also. Version 4 is supposed to be significantly more funtional. They had a "road show" traveling across the country that had some guy doing amazing things with the program, but those things weren't available on PC as yet (V.4). I will agree that there is a real lack of helpful literature on the program. There have been a few tutorials on the Phase One emails that have shown me stuff I didn't know about. There is a way to work color into B&W that is truly impressive.
