Cheryl approaches portraiture just as she does her gallery work: with

essence. She values simplicity, avoiding unnecessary elements in favor of
honest and respectful portraiture.

Rather than dictating her subjects expressions, Cheryl prefers to spend time

create a truly definitive, high-impact master print that will bring a smile to your
face every day. Cheryl is a firm believer in "the family as fine art"; for that
reason, she encourages her clients to invest in a large wall piece, rather than
several smaller prints that may be lost in the room.

Cheryl schedules no more than three sessions per week, fully investing herself
in every session. She works on location rather than in a sterile studio setting,
encorporating her subjects' environment into her work. Cheryl's client base
now extends throughout the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe.

Cheryl is one of the diminishing number of photographers who work exclusively
with black and white film, personally hand-processing her film. As with her gallery prints, Cheryl's portraits are masterfully hand-printed and individually signed, using the highest quality materials and her own unique style of printing.

Filter out the marketing hype. Her approach is quite simple and effective.

I have been a big fan of Cheryl's for a while now and know her from another forum. I really really wanted to go to her seminar when she was in Dallas last spring but I wanted new gear even more.
