Question Pick one, please - 01-19-2007, 06:26 PM

When I got married (almost 10 years ago) I couldn't afford to do bridal shots. I decided to do some myself for my hubby. Can you tell me which version of this shot is best? The dress isn't really white, so I thought maybe B&W would be good. I just can't decide. I'm throwing one in here with glow added to it, too.

That's a tough choice. I like both of the color versions with a slight preference for the last one. You make self portraits look easy. And they aren't.

Thanks, iCe. No, it's really not easy. I'm getting so used to it that when I did some shots for someone else the other day I was shocked at how much easier it was. My son laughs at me when he sees me doing them.

You homeschool??? Wow... I think that's impressive.

(I checked your profile to see what gear you shoot). Do you have the timer/release that Canon makes? It's pretty handy. You can set the camera to go off ever X seconds. There are other modes too but that one suits self portraiture pretty well.

So you're pretty much your own MUA, photographer, printer, and all around mom? cool.

I didn't know they made one. I have a remote, but I have to use it on each picture. It really limits my poses.

Yes, I homeschool my 8-year-old. It takes up most of my day, but it's incredibly rewarding.

I hadn't noticed that. I'm not sure how to fix it, but I'll give it a try.

Yep. Here it is on B&H's website.

I'll bet that it does and I'll bet that it is...

I like the 1st. Like the detail in the dress. Is that a wedding dress?
