I have noticed with Photoshop it takes less time to clean up the photo processing trays. I worked in a photo studio in high school a long time ago so don't remember much about the experience except for the dark room and doing most of the clean up. Still, it was interesting and what I think triggered my life long interest in photography. I was/am still impressed with the enlargers and processing techniques. I'm digital but believe the true masters were long before digital and computer processing.

But sometimes longer to "process" and print?

How about a 12 exposure roll (cartridge) of Kodacolor II in 110 format?

It's all around if you look. Wolf Camera has it occassionally. Dwayne's Photo in Kansas will sell you fresh Kodachrome 64 as well as process & scan Kodachrome and just about any other film you send them. All of the big N.Y. photo stores list Kodachrome in their internet stores.

I bought my first roll in ages at Wolf. I then sent the exposed film to Dwayne's and ordered fresh film along with the processing. It cuts the shipping cost down to $0.25/roll. That was before I bought a brick of expired Kodachrome from a gentleman at the L.U.G. for $15. I won't have to buy any new Kodachrome for awhile.

Handy hint: I remember reading that when Kodak quit processing 120 Kodachrome, they processed it until the last batch made had expired. You've got a brick, great, but be sure to use that stuff while they're still making it- won't do you much good 10 years from now, no matter how fresh it is.

I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by,
and then it petered out and I had to retrace my steps and wasted half a day.

I know. I am hoping to still be using Kodachrome for a couple of trips I have planned after I retire in a few years. Maybe. Maybe not. Velvia 50 & 100 should still be around even if I have to import it from Japan. The Japanese are still quite fond of film.

Worst case: I will use B&W film on these trips.
