Which color is correct??? - 03-19-2007, 02:30 PM

The first was taken on aperture setting with WB set at the "cloudy day" setting. The 2nd was with the outdoor setting selected on the mode dial.

The second one looks more correct to me. The first one just looks way too warm (could be the WB) and slightly overexposed in areas.

Gordon is correct.

If it were my shot, I would choose #2.

Sometimes color can be what kind of emotion you are trying to convey.. but with this I'd say the second one cause the first one has a few blown out areas.

Trust me, I have a hard time with that one sometimes cause I'll prefer the technically incorrect photo :P But I actually like the detail of the second one better. : )

Is that at the Ft. Worth Zoo?

It might look really cool in B&W. But then that would be skirting the issue. You pick what floats your boat. I usually like things a little warm outside, but the 2 shots up are a little too warm or a little too cool.

It was the Dallas zoo. Their gorilla exhibit is a-w-e-s-o-m-e. Here's a few others.
