Any ideas / Suggestions ? - 04-12-2007, 08:39 AM

I am going to be taking some photo's soon of some identical twins. I thought this morning that I might like to try to take a photo of the two of them looking at each other through an empty picture frame .... kinda like looking in a mirror kinda thing ...

Anyone ever try this or have any suggestions ?

Thanks.
Randy

That's a good idea...I had twins and was always looking for fun ways to capture them. They were boy/girl though. A mirror might give some fun ideas too. You would need a big one or one of those cheap ones you hang on the back of your door you could have someone hold.. How old are they?

Renae, they are seniors in HS, so 17 or 18 ...

I'm struggling in my mind how to pose them ... if I can clearly see one face, I may be shooting the back of the other's head, I'm thinking they may need to stand at an oblique angle (it wouldn't produce a "real reflection in a mirror") but for a photo it might give the illusion what I'm looking for .... but not 100% sure ... it'll be fun, I've taken tons of photo's of them for sports photo's .... so this will be something a little different.

Thanks.

Check this thread...

I've seen another "mirror" twins photo like this on the forum with children. I'll keep looking.

What about one face directly above the other?? Both looking around the tree making fun of each other and joking (if that is their personality)

Patti and Renae ...

Thanks so much, thats what I have in mind to do ... and yes they both are fun spirits, I have a lot of fun doing sports portraits of the kids at the HS. I've been participating in their activities for 3 years now, so all the kids are getting to know me and we all have a lot of fun when we do portraits ... and the more the pictures are "different" the more fun we have ... I'm going to see if I can find a large picture frame (20x30) at one of the craft stores today ... need to get my "garage sale" buddies to be on the lookout for old frames.

Thanks.

Ideas / Suggestions ... from concept to photo - 04-20-2007, 04:19 PM

Here's what I came up with for the twins. Considering what I had in mind, did I accomplish my objective in your opininon ?

Any thoughts ?

Thanks.
