I have a question.....I would like to know how to change the shutter speed on my rebel. I know its a dumb question but I just got this camera and I have no clue! HELP!

Never used a Rebel.. but first off.. what mode are you shooting in? AUTO? You'll probably want to put it in TV mode (shutter priority) to start. In Manual mode, you can change both shutter and aperture. Not sure if this helps at all...Typically, these cameras come with a quick start manual which can help teach you the button layouts and such..

Set it to Tv and turn the dial by the shutter button to change the shutter speed.

Break out of the different shooting modes. I only use the letter modes

Great advise but be sure to take the time and read your manual. It's chalked full of info!!!
