Hi folks,
I have finally figured out how to attach photos in this forum, so instead of sending you all to my flickr site, I thought I would offer them here with the hopes of getting some feedback. These were taken when I was still pretty new to photography and have been heavily processed, but I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.

Thanks,
GKB

Hmmmmm..... the "People" forum might be a more appropriate place for this.

What processing has been done?

I will move this to the People thread. Thanks for the heads up.

Processing on both involved cropping, color correcting, levels and curves adjustment, and on the color one, a fake Lomo effect was applied (or at least attempted)...

First of all, nice shots. Proof that if you want a great pic, shoot something interesting! The top one (B&W) I honestly like it a lot. Seeing the joy in the kids face touches me. I might have used the burn tool to make the well lit background (especially that big box on right side) a bit darker so it isn't distracting. The bottom one is even better. Color might be a little over saturated but it could just be my crapy monotor here at work. Anyway, nice job. May I ask where this was taken?

crop the second one and you go a winner. since you dont have the whole person in the second one then just chop it down, close up on the subject since your background is not in play unless you make it so and that would be if you would jave included the persons head in the background..

all in all I like the cranked up sat of the second image and the tweaked contrasted. looks like you crunched it all like fashion shooters do these days or should i say an AD, art director to those noobs, do... it is never really up to the photographer the AD always has final say.
