I haven't removed CS2 yet, but CS3 totally rocks for Intel Macs. I edited a couple of images this afternoon and I'm totally digging the final Camera Raw interface.
A must have upgrade IMHO.

Here's a little tip that might be worth playing around with. The new "Black and White" adjustment layer in CS3 takes the concept of the Channel Mixer in monochrome mode and extends it further by giving the control to mix all 6 primaries (additive and subtractive). It's a pretty nice B/W conversion tool.
But it can also be an interesting tool for manipulating the tonality of color images. Try this: add a Black And White adjustment layer, and set its blend mode to Luminosity. Then play around with the different color sliders and watch how they affect different parts of the image. For instance the blue and cyan sliders will have a big impact on the sky, yellow and green sliders will affect foliage, and the red slider will have a big impact on skintones as well as anything that's getting lit direct sunlight.
It can be very useful when you want to create contrast between two colors that have a similar tonal value. It's a bit of a blunt tool depending on the image, but when used as an adjustment layer you have the option to adjust opacity or use a layer mask to limit the effect.

Can you post a before and after example of how you used it. I'm still not too sure of when it would be useful so I'm not sure which photo to choose to play around with it.
Thanks,

Here are two quick examples, although they're not paritcularly dramatic. In fact seeing the before/after side-by-side the difference is pretty subtle but when I was toggling the BW layer on/off while editing it was much more noticeable.
In the first shot I darkened the grass and the shirt, while giving a slight boost to the skintones. In the second shot I darkened the sky and the grass. In both cases the adjustments were made with a single B&W layer and no masking at all.

I've been playing with it but I think it will take some time before I feel like I know when this tool will be the "go to" tool.
Thanks so much for taking the time to show how it can be used. That helps a lot!

I love the new Raw conversion abilities and the B&W.
Also I find it loads alot faster, and bridge loads pics faster.
I really like the fact the ARC does not automatically use "auto" when converting a raw, but does give you the option.
I found one small bug in the Bridge/Raw preview 'loop', but it's not a bad one.
Overall I think this has been the best PS upgrade yet.

For me it that it is zoomed in at like 2 or 3 hundred percent, and then it takes a long time for me to be able to zoom out to 100 percent. As for what I like about it so far, is the Panoramic stitching is way bad xxx! Light and day difference between CS2 and CS3!

It's seems when I activate the loop, it's realy pixelated at 100% or so, then it 'cleans up" but zooms out to the viewing size, but when you reclick you get a good 100% view.
