An outstanding essay by Alain Boit, 'Finding Inspiration.'

"Of course, there will always be those who look only at technique, who ask “how,”
while others of a more curious nature will ask “why.“

Personally, I have always preferred inspiration to information."

Man Ray

That Man Ray quote gives you a flavor what's in store for you.

"The market wants a Leica to be a Leica: the inheritor of tradition, the subject of lore, and indisputably a mark of status to own."
Mike Johnston

AHH, inspiration. It means "breathed in". Contrast to expiration. And then there is serendipity.

I liked the article ... how long before Chapter 2 is available?

Talking Inspiration.. and my 2 cents will get you a lot. - 06-15-2007, 03:38 AM

but I want "change" !

I wish I could put you into an empty room and give you a magical camera that would dispense 8 x 10's of what you were trying to create. I wonder how many hours you would spend in that empty room BEFORE you learn how to "create" !

I would not let you out of that room until you slipped something out to me that showed Imagination!

Most people tend to think "TOO BIG" when using a camera, and try to record all of that in a single frame.

Spend a couple of hours just walking around the outside of your house and learn how to LOOK. "LEARN" how to "create" something out of nothing that seems meaningless.

When you learn to OPEN YOUR EYES and use your IMAGINATION.. then you will begin to understand what I am speaking about.

this requires practice,, and your going to "fail" before you learn ! but .. .. keep on.. & practice.. ! soon .. YOU WILL succeed ! as you learn through practice and determination.

Just don't forget to "LOOK"

---------------------------
Practice .. .. .. makes... ... .. "better"

Read the fine print first.
