Lola Alvarez Bravo by Elizabeth Ferrer Aperture Foundation (NY, NY, 2006) It has long been my contention that the best way to learn what is good photography is to look at the work of great photographers. Lola Alvarez Bravo is one of these photographers. She is considered to have been Mexico's first major woman photographer and produced a body of work ranging from portraiture to street photography. Get a copy of this book from a local library and look and study her work.
