Action Shooting Suggestions - 08-02-2007, 11:44 AM

I have recently started taking and selling pictures of drag boat races. This is pretty much all the experience I have on action shots. I was wondering if some of you could go to my site and give me a few suggestions on a different way to shoot that could make for some cool pictures. http://www.GrayEyePhoto.com

Nice shots. I shot Horse Events so while it isn't as fast it is still action. Here's a few things I noticed.

The sky is pretty drab and possibly blown out - try to avoid it if at all possible in the shots unless it is nice. A polarizer may help.

It'd be nice to some closer shots of individual boats or even of say different parts of the boats.

If you get half a boat in the shot w/ another full boat - clone it out as it just distracts

More space leading in front of the boats

Maybe try some on a tripod at slower shutter w/ panning
