I missed the ones you posted earlier, but wanted to say that with the second image/crop it's easier for me to see the days of the month inside the calendar. Although a date in October is still missing.

P.S. My personal -non-professional- opinion is that I also like that I can see immediately that the splash under the dolphin is actually a splash and not foamy sand. Silly me had to take a double-take on the first image because my eyes translated that churned water as land.

I like the first one where the dolphin is centered left to right. Just my opinion, but I prefer this crop as it's more rectangular than the original which seemed very elongated. Another suggestion (don't know how it would look), but maybe try reverse type on those November dates that are getting lost in the dolphin image. Definately make sure the ripples under the dolphin are included. It creates a sense of "being there" where you can almost hear the water splashing on this beatiful shot!

I think I would put the months in rows of 4 instead of 3. And try to fit them into the sky section of the picture. Then centre the dolphin & the ocean underneath the calendar. Then the '2008' in the bottom right corner... just my 0.02 :)
