why does the manual setting take so long for the camera to process?...i do lots of quick shots and i would like to do more manual settings but i don't have that much time between shots...i use the sport setting just for speed but it feels sort of prepackaged...

Strange. I've got the E-500 and I've never seen it write images slower in manual mode vs. the auto modes. The only thing I can think of is your shutter speed must be set slower or something.

I can get out 5 shots in a second if I do continuous shooting mode (in manual too.) The mode has nothing to do with write speeds. The E-510 is a bit better than the E-500 too, so if anything it should be able to maybe even take more.

I'd play around with your camera though and get to know it a tad bit more (The E-510 just came out so I'm sure you haven't discovered all the goodies yet! ;-) In the menu theres a way to make it go to continuous shooting mode and you can get lots and lots in on a short time.

Well my camera is equipped with a 1000 megasquirtle light sensitive array with a megakilo double widget interface and a pseudo-terrafilter. its got 2 million hexafurtles with a 10 kiloplex and a rechargeable virtual combo-backplate. i also fitted an optical fillyfangle with predictive threshold histogram monitoring. it also has a light sensitive light meter and a time sensitive shutter mechanism.
