I am taking my kids to see the Wiggles this weekend. What camera settings would you recommend for a newbie like me? I am using a Canon Digital Rebel XT.
Thanks.

Front row is probably the one setting you can't control. After that, highest iso your camera will allow and produce decent images. Fastest shutter speed your lens will allow wide open. Spot metering if you have it. Good luck.

My wife and daughter will be there this weekend as well!

Wayne is right on the money. Pump up the ISO, and use the fast shutter speed you can get while still maintaining the PROPER exposure.

Don't purposely under exposoe in order to up the shutter speed or lower the ISO, you'll be disappointed with the results.

What about checking what is required to legally take photos at the show.

Most of the concerts I have been to lately do not allow cameras into the show.
So you need to arrange a press pass in advance to get a camera into the show.

I went there two years ago and they let you use your camera but not your camcorder.
