.1 F/8 and be there!

2. Don't face people into the sun.

3. No straight-on, face the firing squad like a good fellow, portraits...results in "football shoulders"...not good for the ladies. Turn 'em a few degrees right or left...45 deg. is a good start.

4. EYES in focus...always and forever!

5. Get down to eye level with children...or other short beings.

6. Light is our medium...if it ain't there, NOTHING will turn out well.
6. a. Use available light...your flash is always available!

W:White balance check
H:Highlight warning turned on
I: ISO check (make sure you're using the right ISO for your surroundings)
M:Mode check (make sure you're in aperture priority, program or manual mode)
S:Size (check to make sure your image side and quality are set correctly)
