To pop this one, start with a simple Brightness/Contrast adjustment... maybe 10% each.... if you know curves, you could use that, too.. but I don't know enough about what the sliders are called to direct you there.

John, perhaps an angle swung roughly 2 to 4 degrees to camera left and wb for daylight to add warmth would give a little more umph. As it is now, you'll have to use pp to add the pop, as Brad stated. Keep up the good work.

Also I would get closer to the tractor and use an f/6-10 to set the tractor away from the back ground a little

it looks like you took the pic from across the yard or something

Photoshop is a beast to learn but if you just get the basics down, that is a major step forward. repetition makes it easier to learn. I try to tackle a new tutorial about once a week until it makes sense. what i did was just quick and it will probably look much better taking more time and working on the original image.

John:

Hope you don't mind, I did a little work on your tractor. The sky was a little overcast that day so I gave you some blue.

Your tractor looks good compared to mine. Mine is 27 years old and is blue with little white specks on it. It stays in a barn and the birds roost above it so you know what the little white specks are.

A Little Armor All might work well on this one. A Little waxing... Wax on wax off technique won't hurt either..
