For something like that to be remotely enforceable they would have to show that you entered some sort of contract agreeing to those terms.

My question would be: Suppose you went into the zoo lugging a nice 300 f/2.8 and a decent tripod. What sort of reception do you think you would get? Maybe some people here have some experience with that.

I visited there once while staying with my brother and his family, who live in Lewisville. I took my 200-400vr and tripod in on a Saturday, and had no problems at all. The FW Zoo has a reputation for being great for photography so I'm sure I'm not the only one who has done that, and I've never heard of any problems. I routinely do the same at the Houston Zoo as well (not as much recently, but plenty of times over the last few years).
